Amy ArmitageCounselling & Psychotherapy in Lymm, Cheshire

My Approach

My aim is to work towards your preferred style. Some clients prefer a structured approach, to include setting goals, homework and learning skills. Others simply need a space to be heard, nonjudgmentally, without any direction required by the counsellor. During assessment I will ask you a series of questions to understand your therapeutic needs so we can work in a way that feels suited for you.

Your sense of wellbeing is at the core of my work. I use a non-judgemental and supportive approach to facilitate a relationship where you feel safe and respected.

Therapy doesn’t have to be a daunting experience, it can actually be an interesting and even fun way to explore who we are and what we want in life.

My aim is to work with you collaboratively to explore what’s going on in your world with honesty and kindness. My style is of a client-led nature, meaning I will work at your pace and use cues from you to adapt my approach. My goal is to form a relationship of understanding and genuineness so you feel safe enough to make the most of your therapy.
